2016 Scholarship Recipients

The following candidates were awarded a $2,500 scholarship:

Eric O’Risky was a previous INOGA scholarship recipient.  He was also awarded
the Donald E. Jones, Sr. Scholarship, in memory of the true “Pioneer," in the amount
of $600.  Eric graduated from North Posey High School and attends Hanover College. 
His major is Geology.

Kissel Kensington is from Poseyville, Indiana and was a previous INOGA scholarship
recipient.  Kensington graduated from Reitz High School and attends Southern Illinois
University.  Her major is Geophysics.

 The following candidates were awarded a $1,000 scholarship:

Hannah Perry is from Columbus, Indiana and was a previous INOGA scholarship
recipient. 
Hannah graduated from Columbus East High School and is attending
Indiana University. 
Her major is Geology.


Timothy Lira
is from Granger, Indiana and was a previous INOGA scholarship
recipient.  Timothy graduated from Penn High School and is attending Missouri
University S & T.  His major is Petroleum Engineering.

Elizabeth Gaines is from Hobart, Indiana and graduated from Hobart High School.
She is attending Western Michigan University.  Her major is Geology. 

Kaydra Barbre is from Richmond, Indiana and graduated from Richmond High School. 
She is considering Earlham College or Hanover College.  Her major will be Geology
or Geophysics.

Dylan Elpusan is from Warsaw, Indiana and graduated from Wawasee High School. 
He is attending Purdue University.  His major is Chemical Engineering.

Benjamin Magnin is from Terre Haute, Indiana and graduated from Terre Haute
South Vigo High School.  He is attending DePauw University.  His major is Geology.

Isaac Zuchristian is from Cicero, Indiana and graduated from Hamilton Heights
High School.  He is attending Taylor University.  His major is Chemical Engineering.
 

Evan Howser is from Scottsburg, Indiana graduated from Scottsburg High
School.  He is attending Purdue University.  His major is Chemical Engineering.


The requirements for the scholarship are:

1. Be a graduating high school senior or currently enrolled in a post-secondary education program.
2. Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
3. Have a financial need determined by the scholarship committee.
4. Plan to pursue a career in the oil and gas industry.
5. Be attending college in the coming fall.
6. Be a resident of Indiana and attending an accredited college.
7. Be pursuing a bachelor's degree, with preference given for Earth Sciences, Petroleum
    Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Geology majors.
8. Submit a short essay which describes the applicant’s interest in the oil and gas
    industry and which career path the applicant is planning to pursue.
